Fashion is one of the way of expressing yourself. It’s a taste & a multi-billion dollar industry. If you’re aspiring to become a fashion blogger, or growing a personal brand around Fashion, this post is a must read.
Not boasting, but I have complied some of the most influential fashion Instagrammers on the platform.
This post is for those who’re looking for a start & inspiration to get into the fashion industry & learn the game of influencing on Instagram. Since I’m into personal branding, I have picked these based on value of personal brand.
Without further ado, let me get straight to the point.
#1 @SinghStreetStyle
All the punjabis in the house, buckle up. This guy here is to make you feel proud with the royal touch of his beard & the turban which is pride of the community.
You’re going to love the way he shows his lifestyle and shares fashion tips along the way. He gets a ton of brand deals & collaboration for the brand icon he is.
Also, SinghStreetStyle is becoming the most followed desi fashion blog in the world.
Highlight: The desi touch that’s laser target to the lovely & energetic Sikh community.
#2 @UsaamahSiddique
This guy is leveraging his personal brand to make more business for his sub brand, @thedapperlable.
I love the way he breaks the norms taught by the Instagram marketing gurus. I saw a pattern in all his posts, he doesn’t use too many hashtags, doesn’t tag the location unless it’s abroad, and the most important, he hardly has any caption for the post.
For those post that has captions are short, sweet & right on the money. Follow his if you want to learn the Instagram Influencer game & fashion blogging game.
Highlight: He takes video editing & his fashion sense to the whole new level. I love the mind blowing video editing he has shared.
#3 @_abix_
Fashion blogger from Delhi has taken the fashion blogging with brand deals to a whole new level. I love the way Abhinav Mathur is making uses his dusky eyes to get the eye balls of user desperately scrolling through the instagram feed.
Highlight: I love the way he tags various businesses/brands/people in his captions of the post. This brings attention to his post, sometimes it’s egoistic. People who’re tagged want to reply to those posts. His posts are definitely great that any brand wouldn’t mind to respond to his posts.
#4 @heisgotthestyle
One of very few fashion bloggers I’m aware of who talk about grooming for men. I love the way Sagar Patil has clubbed the two micro niche into — fashion & grooming.
Highlight: I love the way he is still leveraging the classic fashion elements like desi kurtas, classic cars traditional maharastrian attire & still make sense with his modern-day fashion touch.
#5 @bhuvan.bam22
I saved the best for the last. If you’re middle aged Indian, there’s hardly a chance you’d not know this amazing dude. If you’re living under the rock & not know him, he’s a YouTuber, aspiring projects in Bollywood as a musician, actor & lyricist.
Even though he’s an actor playing 18 different characters on his channel, he’s a style icon. You have a lot to learn from him if you’re aspiring to become a fashion influencer, especially on Instagram.
He’s killing it when it comes to Instagram influencing. I’m yet to come across a someone who’s leveraging tools laid out by Instagram better than this guy.
Highlight: I love the he uses various characters from his YouTube to announce his merchandise or simply make a point.
TL;DR — Final Thoughts
This post is for those who want to make it big in the fashion industry & want some inspiration to begin with. I have picked these people based on various parameters like impact, influence, micro niche & strategies.
None of them are picked based on the number of followers they any such numbers. I really don’t care about these numbers & the same reflects in the profiles listed here.
These guys have broken the mainstream & do what they’re good at. Mainstreams like tagging location, using hashtags & having long captions. They’ve got the basics of Instagram Marketing right & they were good to go.
So if you’re aspiring to become a fashion blogger on Instagram, this is the time. Also, make sure you begin with Instagram & not stop there. Bring the attention of the people from Instagram to your blog where you sell & get one step close to them & keep in touch via email (that’s the chain I recommend all my clients, social media to website/blog to email list)
Let’s keep in touch via Instagram & LinkedIn. That’s where I hang out to share personal branding & digital marketing tips.
